Fantastic first talk at Festival of Work today. Really enjoyed hearing from Jackie Grier at Mindset Practice and Kerry Isherwood from Virgin Atlantic talk about the importance of growth and survival tendencies and the impact that showing up to work with a growth mindset has on innovation and creating a climate at work that maximises performance.

The CIPD Festival of Work is a great platform to learn, listen, discuss and bring attention to crucial topics like mental health. We STILL need to shift mindsets and reduce stigma around mental health, especially as this week is Men's Mental Health Week. Sharing insights and raising awareness through social media posts can make a significant impact. Be prepared for more updates! First talk of the day and so insightful and makes me look back at my own personal journey!

Incredible artists delivering extraordinary content
Dr Daniel Holme kicked off day one with an outlook on AI and the future of automation, asking the important question "what does the right automation look like for your business?". We came back to the human element of the event with Stacey Dooley MBE and Elliot Rae hosting a thought provoking session, on how we can break barriers and ignite change. Alex Mahon re-enforced this sentiment with a candid reflection on her career and fostering courage within a modern workplace.
The second day welcomed Dex Hunter-Torricke, who captivated the audience with his presentation on 'The Global Tapestry: Decoding the future of technology, leadership and society'. With other sessions throughout the day exploring the important questions of innovation, responsibility and values facing the leaders and organisations of the future.
Welcoming attendee's to our new home
Helping us move to the beat this morning was One Drum Rhythms. Alongside the immersive sessions were smoothies, pancakes, unicorns and of course, puppies at the Wellbeing village. Attendees took part in tai-chi, BSL sessions, hackathon discussions and explored the Festival floor to find their perfect suppliers. Everyone came together to celebrate the future of work.
There was an unmistakable atmosphere of positivity and excitement for the future of work.As 11,000+ festival-goers came together to strengthen existing relationships and forge new connections. All supported by a backdrop of incredible artists, immersive activities and leading organisations. Creating an unforgettable experience for all that attended.
